Our speaker series consisted of three different speakers. The first speaker, Dr. Algoe, Keystone Area Superintendent, spoke about "Interview Tips". He presented us with several useful tips to landing a great interview and getting a teaching job. The second speaker, Nicole Porter, Midwestern Region Secretary, spoke about what PSEA can do for you! She talked about the benefits of PSEA and how important it is to be an active member. Our third and final speaker was Mrs. Sharrow from our local Riverview Intermediate Unit. Her topic was classroom management, and she talked about how to handle certain classroom behaviors and situations.

Professional Development Speaker Series: Fall 2015
Chris Clayton came to Clarion and talked about strategies to differentiate instruction in the classroom. We learned how to differentiate the product, process, and content of our instruction. Most importantly, we learned that the instruction has to meet the needs of each student.

S-PSEA State Conference & Convention 2015
National Education Association Student Leadership Conference 2015 in Orlando, Florida
On April 9-10th, 14 of our members attended the Student PSEA State Conference and Convention in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Our members attended many different breakout sesions that provided them with professional growth to take back to the classroom.
During the week of June 28 - July 6th, four of our members participated in many professional growth opportunities. Members also attended the PA Caucus where they participated in discussions about the laws and rules in NEA.
Chris Clayton: What Every Student Teacher Should Know
Chris Clayton came to Clarion and gave his presentation on "What Every Student Teacher Needs to Know as they Transition from College to Career." He gave great tips on how to keep your teacher certifications updated and where to find documented Act 48 hours.

Western Region Conference
Several members went to Slippery Rock University to experience a great day full of professonial development. Members had the opportunity to choose from multiple sessions and were able to network with some great professionals. Some of the sessions included: classroom management, technology, and Autism.
