I am a Junior here at Clarion studying in the Early Childhood/Special Education Dual Major Program. I am very active in the education department being on three executive boards as well as being a member of Sigma Pi Epsilon Delta, Special Education Honorary, and Kappa Delta Pi, International Honors Society in Education. I love being involved in Student PSEA. As the Secretary I send out reminders for events as well as the minutes from each meeting to keep members informed. I also assist in setting up speakers to come speak to our chapter.

Leadership

Advisor : Marilyn Howe

Advisor : Karl Sprenger

I am a Senior Secondary Biology Major at Clarion University and I am involved with S-PSEA and Biology Peer Mentors. As the current Vice President, I help the President with activities and events as well as find ideas for possible fundraisers. As the Treasurer I handle the chapter's bank account and refund the officers for supplies that we buy for activities and events. I also prepare approved fundraisers and collect the money and report the success of the fundraiser to the chapter.

Dr. M. Howe was a classroom teacher, building administrator, curriculum coordinator, and a management consultant for business and industry. Currently she is a university professor at Clarion University of Pennsylvania and the Program Coordinator for the Graduate Concentration in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition to teaching curriculum design and evaluation, pedagogical and assessment strategies, and leadership, Dr. Howe is actively pursuing research in curriculum and leadership. She has conducted numerous presentations and is published in the areas of curriculum, assessment, and leadership. Dr. Howe provides service to the university, School of Education, and the Education Department.

I am currently a Sophomore Math and Special Education Dual Major at Clarion University. This year I am our chapter's Public Relations chair. I keep our Facebook page updated, help with our bulletin board, and advertise for upcoming events. I am also the Historian for Kappa Dleta Pi at Clarion. I love all of the activities I get to be involved in through Student PSEA and I'm especially looking forward to conference!

Dr. Karl Sprenger is an Assistant Proessor of Education at Clarion University. He teaches various courses dealing with educational technology and assessment. He is involved in both IST (International Society for Technology Education) and PAECT (Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology) technology education organizations. He has taught 18 years in K-12, teaching primarily physics and now is entering his 3rd year at Clarion. his inerests lie in web 2.0 tools, SMART notebook software, Google Apps, and just anything dealing with technology.

I am currently a Senior Early Childhood and Intervention Specialist major at Clarion University.  I hold both the Historian and Journalist postions for our chapter.  I send our monthly newsletters, take pictures, update the bulletin board, and help create our APEX.  I have always loved being involved and helping others.  For me, S-PSEA has challenged me to take risks, meet new people, and be an advocate for education.
